ASM COVID-19 Update (Phase 2)

The Arkansas Department of Health has issued guidelines for Phase 2 of reopening for massage therapy clinics, which goes into effect on June 15th. Please read the following rules before scheduling your appointment.

  • Services are by appointment only. Please schedule online, or call us at (479) 648-0021.

  • Clients will be required to wear a mask, even during treatment, as services permit. You are welcome to bring your own or your student therapist will provide a mask for you (or inquire in the office to get a mask).

  • Do not bring anyone who doesn’t have an appointment, as we are allowed a limited number of people in the building.

  • Clients over the age of 65, or those who have chronic medical conditions, are advised by the health department to stay home during Phase 2.

  • Practice social distancing of at least 6 feet (except during treatment).

  • Wait in your car until at least 10 minutes prior to the time of your appointment. When you enter into the building (Arkansas School of Massage ENTRANCE), complete an intake form and sign a COVID-19 liability waiver form. Wait for your student therapist to come into the waiting area to get you.

  • We are not allowed to provide services to clients showing any signs of illness including runny nose, even if they are allergy symptoms.

  • We will need to ask you the following questions before your appointment. If your answer is yes to any of these questions, we will be required to postpone your treatment for 14 days.

    • Have you had a fever of 100.4 F or greater in the last 2 days?

    • Do you have a cough, difficulty breathing, sore throat, or loss of taste or smell?

    • Have you had contact with a person known to be infected with COVID-19 within the past 14 days?

We understand that some of these measures are inconvenient, and we appreciate your patience. We look forward to seeing you again.

Thank you,

Arkansas School of Massage Staff and Students
